AKK – I would Like to present 3 of my paintings from the Colors story Journey which started in the year 2023 and is still being created, shape and meaning are still being added. These paintings are only part of my work. I am very interested in different shapes and forms and abstraction in landscapes. I am inspired by the movements of colors and constantly changing lines in nature. That's how I see it and this is the topic of my paintings.

THE UNION OF POLISH ARTISTS

author: Ryszard Kowalewski - president of the Gdańsk District

On large canvases in a studio full of light, the painter records abstract paintings, constantly looking for the border between artificiality and authenticity of the world that changes around her. [...] Agnieszka Kopczyńska - Kardaś is involved in a difficult dialogue with the recipient, trying to sensitize them to the problems of the contemporary world, from ecology to alienation of the individual in an environment that aims at hypostasis and unification.

EXHIBITION AT THE POSK GALLERY IN LONDON

author: Joanna Ciechanowska

As a person who has been taking care of the substantive preparation of the institution's program for almost 10 years, I would like to assure you that Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś's many years of artistic development proudly represents the high level of Polish contemporary art. It is worth exhibiting the artist's works abroad, and therefore I have no doubts that the co-financing of the newest POSK initiative - an individual exhibition by Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś - is a huge contribution to the promotion of Polish art in the world. I believe that Mrs. Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś is a person who shapes a positive image of our cultural heritage.

IN RHYTHM OF ABSTRACTION

author: Monika Pisarczyk

Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś used to talk about the landscape in a similar way. The artist, like Dominik, at some stage in her work also heavily exploited the motifs of colorful spots and streaks of irregular shapes, often arranged in simple, repetitive compositions. However, Kopczyńska-Kardaś most often used an ascetic, cool color palette, based on shades of gray and blue, often enriched with delicate ocher or red tones. The artist's love of order and order, manifested in the cyclical patterns of random shapes and irregular figures, introducing rhythmicity to her works, is especially visible in the series of works titled "Stages", which dates back to 2004. This repetition of abstract elements, placed at equal intervals on Kopczyńska-Kardaś's canvases, however, has a certain conventionality, perhaps caused by irregularity and a large variety of apparently similar shapes, thanks to which each painted form seems unique.

FIND YOUR OWN WAY OF LOOKING AT NATURE

author: Alicja Meryńska

Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś can be called the heir of Tadeusz Dominik's creative experiments. Her abstract landscapes refer to the works of the deceased artist not only due to the graphic code of geometric signs she used, but also due to her approach to color. As in the case of Dominik's works, in Kopczyńska-Kardaś, color is the decisive component of the composition. Its palette, however, is more subdued and ascetic.

ABSTRACT VIEW

author: Róża Jachyra

The main source of creative research for Agnieszka Kopczyńska-Kardaś is nature. The artist, recording the landscape of the same favorite places, observed at different times of the day and year, tirelessly documents the changes taking place in their landscape. In this way, it tries to determine to what extent nature is subject to human interference and the inevitable progress of civilization. Kopczyńska-Kardaś makes an attempt to examine the point where the boundary between the original authenticity of the captured landscape and its artificiality is. Certainly, due to the fact that changes in nature are reflected in her canvases, her paintings are characterized by such a great dynamics.
